Welcome To Drainland is the solo project of Abbotsford’s Layton Keely, formerly of Little Wild. His new single, “Feels So Good,” touches on the subdued, cautious appearance we often put forth—subconsciously lessening the chances of giving too much of ourselves to rejection. Grimey synths cloak his succinct vocals; the melody a little more post-punk yet animated. “How does it feel, on the inside?” Keely asks, making that distinction beneath walls of lo-fi, conversation, and the comfort of one’s own skin.
